20:00 – Howling. Also, Adam Brown is now in net for Arizona. It’s still Capobianco at the other end.
19:26 – PENALTY LAK. Zykov to the box. Offensive zone penalty.
17:26 – Penalty over. Constant Arizona pressure on the PK. Nice Capobianco left pad save on a hard low shot by Southorn with traffic in front.
16:35 – Good job driving the zone by Arseneault. Lowers a shoulder, knocks away an Arizona defender while getting the puck deep.
16:05 – Nick Shore holds the puck behind the Arizona net, offers a nice backhand to Sabourin, whose shot deflects out of play.
15:40 – The Mersch-Shore-Sabourin line had a very strong shift. Good looks around the net by Mersch, who was denied multiple times from in tight.
9:55 – Several nice saves by former Canisius Golden Griffin Tony Capobianco. He also receives a fortunate early shitsle with the puck sitting alone on the doorstep. Much of the recent action has been in LA’s end.
7:31 – PENALTY ARI. High sticking on Kulda. Dowd nearly deflected a puck in with Capobianco pulled on the delayed call.
6:10 – Nice Mesch deflection of a Roach PP point shot. Better save by Brown.
5:45 – Auger denied twice. First on a fine Brown save, second by the post.
5:31 – Penalty over.
5:25 – Egregious, almost hilarious non-call on a clear hook that disrupted LA’s Grade-A scoring opportunity. But we’re getting a makeup call.
4:53 – PENALTY ARI. Suellentrop goes off for boarding. Good pressure by LA on the PP and the ~45 seconds after the PP expired.
3:30 – Mistele denied on a nice backhand attempt on a rebound that popped out to the slot. A fine Brown glove save.
1:25 – GOAL LAK – 3-1. Mersch empty netter.

SECOND PERIOD
20:00 – Let’s go.
19:23 – PENALTY LAK. Offensive zone cross-checking penalty on Zykov.
18:35 – Sharp angle save by Bartosak on Perlini. Perlini got a lot of it; the save was made up high.
17:27 – After a sharp and late developing three-on-two for Arizona, Auger picked up a loose puck from an angle at the Arizona blue line, drove to the net and was denied by Burke,
16:40 – GOAL LAK – 2-1. After the Kings ably killed the penalty, Zykov entered the ice and buried a rebound.
15:54 – Fight! Arseneault versus Laplante. This one lasts a while. Both guys get licks in. Some of the louder cheers we’ve heard today.
13:45 – Arizona beginning to sustain some pressure.
12:10 – PENALTY LAK. Boarding on Kurtis MacDermid.
10:10 – Penalty over.
9:00 – Puck clearly went out of play in the Arizona zone, but no whistle. It hit the netting and came back into play and ultimately ended in a Kings scoring chance (and Coyotes icing). Now where have we seen something similar before?
8:45 – Capobianco in for Bartosak.
4:41 – Fight! MacDermid versus Stevenson. That’s two fights in about 19 hours for Stevenson. MacDermid wins this one; Stevenson looked gassed at the end. Nothing really to write home about.
3:30 – Good job getting back by Roach to disrupt a two-on-one after he was caught in the neutral zone. No shot on goal registered. Also good positioning by Raine to take away a pass.
0:50 – The Auger-Dowd-Zykov line has been L.A.’s most impressive for the second straight day.

FIRST PERIOD
20:00 – Howling.
19:40 – Zykov slips past the Arizona defense and is denied by Burke on a partial breakaway. Looked like the goalie’s right pad denied the Grade-A chance. Brendan Burke is the son of former King goalie and current Coyotes goaltending coach Sean Burke.
18:03 – PENALTY ARI. Suellentrop goes off for tripping. LAK to the power play.
16:30 – Liked the PP shift by Nick Shore. Patient zone entry, composed puck control, snuck down low and fired off a quick odd-angle shots.
16:03 – Coyotes kill the PP.
14:00 – Dakota Mermis (MER-MAN!) of ARI breaks his stick on a lose puck that skittered out to the top of the left circle. He angrily throws it to the ice.
12:00 – Some good looks (if off-angle) by Auger. His three and a half periods have been impressive.
6:50 – GOAL LAK – 1-0. Spencer Watson goes top shelf on a two-on-one. Good possession thus far by LA.

4:40 – Michael Amadio creates a turnover that develops into a Grade-A as he finds an activating Stephen Harper in the other direction. Fine left pad save by Burke on Harper. Kings tilting the ice towards the Coyotes’ end.
3:50 – GOAL ARI – 1-1. Brendan Perlini finishes off a late-developing two-on-one for the Coyotes.
1:15 – Save by Bartosak on a doubly deflected shot from the right point by Guy Leboeuf. Some minor pushing, shoving.
