Pay no attention to the most bizarre headline in the history of this site.
Instead, watch this incredible sequence in which Joe Pavelski and Tommy Wingels are somehow denied by Martin Jones – and what can only be described as some sort of puck repellant force field set up in front of the Kings’ goal line.
Tommy Wingels has not had any sort of history to remember against the Los Angeles Kings. In 17 regular season and playoff games, Alec Martinez’s teammate at Miami University has one assist, a minus-5 rating, and tripped over the blue line without being accosted in Game 2 of the 2012 Western Conference semifinals.
Never mind Wingels – this highlight represents the success and good fortune that has befallen Jones, who is now 7-0-0 with a 0.85 goals-against average and .971 save percentage in the infancy of his NHL career.
