Video: Schmalz, Lintuniemi, Shore talk loss to Coyotes

Kings rookies surrendered a pair of second period power play goals to the Coyotes and fell, 2-1, in the series finale on Tuesday. Quentin Shore scored the lone goal in the loss, joining Matt Luff, Sam Herr and Jonny Brodzinski, who scored in Tuesday’s win.

After the game, Matt Schmalz, Alex Lintuniemi and Shore joined LA Kings Insider to discuss Wednesday’s game and the two-game split.

After the team reports to training camp on Thursday, the first on-ice session at training camp will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday. The full schedule through this weekend is as follows:

Friday, September 23
Group A – Practice at TSC followed by off-ice workout and goalie session – 10 a.m.
Group B – Practice at TSC followed by off-ice workout and goalie session – 2 p.m.

Saturday, September 24
Group B – Practice at TSC followed by off-ice workout and goalie session – 10 a.m.
Group A – Practice at TSC followed by off-ice workout and goalie session – 2 p.m.

Sunday, September 25
Game Day – Kings vs. Kings (at Citizens Business Bank Arena) – 3 p.m.

A training camp roster and the different groupings will be shared on LAKI Friday morning. The rest of the training camp schedule will be announced at a later time.
