WATCH: Rogie Vachon’s induction speech

Via our friends at LA Kings Production, the portion of tonight’s ceremony to honor Rogie Vachon is below. Using highlights throughout his career, including footage from the 1976 Canada Cup, the ceremony segues into Marcel Dionne’s presentation of Vachon’s Hall of Fame plaque, and ultimately, the goalie’s articulation of his career path, which began with an origin story of a 14-year-old Vachon growing up in Palmarolle, Quebec. After offering thanks to those in the Kings organization and in his family, he finishes his speech with a touching remembrance of his wife Nicole, telling her, “I love you, gal. I’ll see you on the other side.” It’s a touching, beautiful moment.
