Tyler Toffoli, on losing an 11-round shootout:
We let one slip here. We had the lead there and it’s one of those things that we’ve just got to tighten up and find a way to bear down and lock it down, and we let one slip.
Toffoli, on the feeling in the room with 13 games remaining:
We need to win every game. We need to get rolling here and find a way to bear down and get two points in all these games coming up.
Toffoli, on Ben Bishop’s performance:
He was huge. We definitely let him down in this one. I know I feel bad- [recording ends]
Ben Bishop, on the tough loss:
We played a good game, maybe deserved better. It’s a little unfortunate. They fan on two shots and they go in. We can’t buy a goal there, but the guys played well. Obviously you go into a shootout, anything can happen. We got a point. We’ve got to look at the positive here and just try to keep moving forward and get as many points as we can.
Bishop, on whether pucks are eventually going to start going in during the shootout:
No, I mean, it’s the shootout. You never know what’s going to happen. Sometimes they’ll go three for three, sometimes they’re going to go two for 12. I don’t know how many there were, but it’s just the shootout. Once in the shootout, anything can happen. It’s more of the game thing. We played well. He fans on the first one, it goes five hole, he fans on the second one, it goes right to the guy on the back door. It’s a little unfortunate. We’ve just got to fight through it, look at the positive. We got a point. It’s better than zero, and we’d like to [get two], but you’ve got to look at the positive right now.
