POSTGAME NOTES

–The Reign improved to 25-12-8-0 and prevented a three-game skid with the win over the Wild, which dropped to 25-21-5-2. Ontario improved to 2-0-0-0 against Iowa, 5-0-0-0 against Central Division opponents and 14-6-2-0 at home this season.

–Ontario (.644 winning percentage) remains in third in the Pacific Division behind first-place San Jose (.698) and second-place San Diego (.659).

–Reign coach Mike Stothers earned his 150th pro coaching win.

–Goalie Jack Campbell played his his 30th straight game and was 3:08 away from his second shutout of the season. He made 20 saves to see his record improve to 22-9-5.

–The Reign improved to 17-4-5-0 when scoring first and 18-0-2-0 when leading after two periods.

–Kurtis MacDermid skated in his 100th game as a pro, all with Ontario.

–Goal droughts were busted for both Brett Sutter (12 games) and Sean Backman (10 games). Each player had a goal and an assist.

–Rookie defenseman Alexx Privitera registered his first AHL point in his third game with a secondary assist on Sutter’s opening goal.

–Teemu Pulkkinen’s shorthanded goal was the sixth SHG the Reign have given up this season.

–Jonny Brodzinski scored his 19th goal of the season to extend his team lead. He has two goals in the last three games.

–With an assist on Brodzinski’s goal, T.J. Hensick is now on a three-game point streak (all assists).

–The Reign outshot the Wild, 27-21, and were led by Hensick with four shots on goal.

–In his first game with Ontario, Devin Setoguchi registered three shots on goal, a plus-1 rating and was called for one minor penalty.

–The Reign are 1-0-0-0 against the Wild this season in one meeting back on Nov. 12, 2016, which resulted in a 6-5 shootout win for Ontario.

–The Reign will be a bit shorthanded tonight as they will only dress five defensemen.

Devin Setoguchi is expected to make his Reign debut, wearing No. 26.
