Kings sign F Crescenzi to one-year contract

The Kings have signed forward Andrew Crescenzi to a one-year deal, the team announced on Saturday morning.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Before the signing, Crescenzi was the only player in the Kings organization who was a restricted free agent without a contract and his deal now follows the recent signings of center Nic Dowd, defenseman Derek Forbort and goaltender Jack Campbell.

The 6-foot-5 Crescenzi, who will turn 24 on July 29, had 5 goals and 16 assists for 21 points in 67 games with AHL-Ontario last season. In 12 playoff games, he recorded 1 goal and 2 assists.

As a reliable role-playing centerman with the Reign in 2015-16, Crescenzi played crucial penalty kill minutes. The previous season he was part of the Monarchs’ Calder Cup title run. In 184 regular season AHL games between the Los Angeles and Toronto franchises, he’s recorded 44 points (15-29=44).

Crescenzi was acquired by the Kings in January 2014 from the Maple Leafs in exchange for Brandon Kozun.
