Coyotes 1, Kings 0

The Coyotes put pressure on the Kings in the early minutes, and it paid off 4:30 into the first period. After Quick had to make an athletic save, Ed Jovanovski controlled the puck just inside the blue line and ripped a slap shot. Lee Stempniak was one of the Coyotes running traffic in front of Quick, and deflected the puck into the Kings’ net.
