It’s time for hockey

Training camp, for all intents and purposes, is over. After almost three weeks on the ice, full of lengthy practices and preseason games, the Kings will practice tomorrow morning in El Segundo, then fly to Vancouver for the start of the six-month regular-season journey. Training camp can get long and repetitive for everyone, so the prospect of “real” hockey right around the corner has raised spirits all around, something that Terry Murray noted after practice today.

MURRAY: “Everybody is excited about getting ready to go. You could see that there was a little change in the environment out there today, with a lot of chatter and lots of attention to the detailed part of things. Guys are excited.”
