Rich Clune and Erik Ersberg have been put on waivers by the Kings this morning. That’s hardly a surprise for Ersberg, but slightly more for Clune. It would appear that the big winner for the day is Kyle Clifford, who would presumably start the season with the big club (he could play nine games with the Kings before returning to his junior club). Teams can put in bids until 9 a.m. Pacific tomorrow, so that’s when both players will find out their futures. [This was initially reported by TSN…I just got independent confirmation.]
