On the difference in the game:
If we could’ve made it three-one, it probably would’ve been the difference. Just couldn’t get the third goal.
On turnovers:
Well, there’s three or four. I mean, obviously it’s not a good thing when Patrick Kane’s on the receiving end of most of ‘em. … It’s a good line for them. We couldn’t handle it.
On whether the Kings caught the Blackhawks at the right time:
Not really. I mean, it sounded like today that you guys were feeling sorry for them. We’ve been down that road, too.
On what separated this game from the seven-game winning streak:
I really don’t get into that. We go into every game like it’s the last game. I just think that we couldn’t get the third goal, and it was the difference in the game.
On Kyle Clifford generating scoring opportunities:
Yeah, I thought he was strong for us. He gave us a little bit of a forecheck, and we didn’t have much of that in the first period. Our left side struggled the whole night, so Cliffy got to play more.
On Anze Kopitar:
He’s playing well. He needs a little bit more help.
