On tying the series after a three-game deficit:
We were in a hole. We’ve been inside this room, it’s our belief system in ourselves and in each other, more importantly. Being down 3-0 is definitely not where we wanted to be, but I don’t think we ever lost hope that we couldn’t pull it together. Saying that, at the end of the day we haven’t done anything. Obviously this is what we needed to push for. It doesn’t mean a whole lot though if we don’t continue to get better.
On what was said in the dressing room during the second intermission:
Again, this group has been together for long enough that nothing ever really needs to be said. It’s part of the nature of having a type of group that sticks together year after year and the culture that we try to build here. It’s not about having rah-rah speeches. It’s about doing what you’re supposed to do and helping each other out.
On when they thought they would be able to overcome the three-game deficit:
I think I said that about whatever game it was, you win and lose with your best players. At the end of the day, that’s how good teams win. Once your big guys kind of start going it gets the team into sync a little bit more and everyone can fill their role that they needs to fill. Again, it’s great that we’re 3-3 but it’s about the next game.
On the series going to seven games:
Going into a series, I don’t think a team, either team, or anybody watching the series how the events and the games went. But at the end of the day it comes down to a Game 7 which is probably to be expected.
