On the game:
They’re a good team. I think they’re probably the one team in the east that kind of plays like all the teams in the west. It was a good matchup for us. We just didn’t start off well and that’s why we lost the game really. We can’t be giving up a goal on our power play, they’re penalty kill – and we finally picked it up in the second and third, but that was too late.
On the power play scoring goals in two straight games:
Yeah, that’s important for sure. Our power play has been struggling for a while and to finally get a couple, it feels good. But, we have to work on all other areas of the game. The only time we’re scoring really is on power plays now. So we need to start getting more 5-on-5 goals. We need to be shutting down teams on our penalty kill – and if we had done that tonight we would’ve won the game.
On if he saw Boston’s game-winning goal just 18 seconds after Los Angeles tied the game:
No, I actually didn’t see what happened. It happened right after, so I was still talking and stuff on the bench – but we can’t let teams do that. We have the momentum at that point and there’s no way we should even let them get a scoring chance right after that. So it’s a big reason why we lost, obviously, and it’s something that we have to clean up.
