On his goal:
I was just waiting for Drew on the far side and when that kind of closed out I just threw it on net. I’m sure he would love to have that one back. It counts.
On the game:
The great start helped us out. We had a three-goal cushion. We gave back two but I think everyone kind of woke up after that. Drew made a great play for us, kind of sealed it for us.
On his line with Kopitar and Carter:
When we have the puck we’re a good line. Obviously, we have size and they both have really good speed. When we manage the puck well and make our plays, obviously it helps when they go in too. I think mine, he would like to have back. Carts kind of shot through him. Kopi, five-hole too. We just kind of had fortunate breaks too.
On Drew Doughty:
He’s got his rushes going that’s for sure. Tonight and last night he put on a show for the fans in the building and it’s nice to see.
On expecting to win:
Pretty much like you said, win. Obviously you focus on the way we play, I think there’s a couple teams in the league that play like us. It’s kind of a unique stature where we try to use big bodies and puck control. We’re working on that. I think we’re a hard team to play against and, like you said, we do expect to win every game that we play in.
On playing tomorrow in Chicago:
It’s a fun building to play in. They’re obviously off to another great start so it will be a good test.
