Jack Johnson’s postgame thoughts…
(on the wild game…)
JOHNSON: “They’re a great hockey team. You’ve got to give them their due credit. They made some great plays. You’re not going to limit them to zero goals. We gave them more than we’d like to. We had a great lead there and let it slip away a little bit, but it’s just something we’re going to have to concentrate a little more on. A win is a win, but you’ve got to give them credit. They’re trying to win the game too, and they made some great plays.”
(on whether the Ducks improved or the Kings let up…)
JOHNSON: “I think it was a combination. There were some great plays, and we had a couple defensive lapses. We’ve got to tighten up defensively. We gave ourselves a great lead and put ourselves in great position. We made it a little more interesting than we’d like to at the end.”
(on knowing, before the game, that nobody had been traded away…)
JOHNSON: “Truthfully, I don’t think anyone really thought about that. I don’t think anyone thought anyone was leaving this room. We’ve got a good team in here. We like our locker room, and I don’t think anyone was really thinking about that.”
