On the 3-2 loss to Calgary:
The PK wasn’t there tonight. That’s it. I think we had a chance to make a difference killing offthose penalties, and we didn’t. We gave up three tonight, and that’s no good. You’re going to lose the game if you do that.
On the particulars of the penalty kill:
Just the details weren’t there. Just didn’t get it done tonight. A lot of it’s just due to effort, and that’s it. I’m talking personal. That’s it. I’m not pointing fingers anywhere else. I’ve got to be better on the PK.
On whether they took the Flames “too lightly”:
No. I think everybody comes in here knowing we need the points, to play hard. Every team is good. Divisional game, we were ready for it. We just didn’t deliver.
On whether the team entered the game encouraged by Saturday’s result:
Every game is new. We’ve got to keep going, we’ve got to win games at home. That’s it. We’ve got to be better.
On the penalty kill:
It wasn’t going. We need to be stronger on pucks, be better positionally and just (be better) on everything. If you give up three PK goals in a game it is unacceptable and we’ve got to be better.
