Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
KOPITAR: “That was a game we should have won and, I thought, deserved to win too. A couple bounces here and there… … It’s frustrating, but what can you do? There’s another game in a couple days, and I’m pretty sure if we keep playing like that, like we did in the second part of the second period and the third period, I like our chances.”
(on Howard’s game…)
KOPITAR: “We had — particularly, our line — had five times when three guys were laying in the crease, and we couldn’t get the puck by everybody. Howard, he was playing good, no question about that, but there were just a couple lucky bounces here and there, and we could have won that game.”
(on whether there was a Kings letdown after they scored…)
KOPITAR: “When you keep going like that, and you get one (goal), it’s a little bit of a relief, but that’s what we have to learn. We can’t let down. No matter if it’s 0.2 seconds left in the first period or 17 seconds left in the third period, you can’t let down.”
