With Sean O’Donnell having served his suspension, and ready to return tomorrow night against Minnesota, the Kings returned to the pairings that they used for most of training camp. That is, O’Donnell with Drew Doughty, Jack Johnson with Rob Scuderi and Matt Greene with Davis Drewiske.
Terry Murray had strong praise for the effort Peter Harrold gave on defense last night, but he will go back to being the spare. Harrold made his season debut Tuesday and did quite well for himself, playing 16 minutes of solid defense and recording one assist and a plus-1 rating. Alec Martinez is still off the ice, and Murray said he wasn’t certain about any thoughts of putting Martinez on injured reserve.
Here’s what Murray said about Harrold’s game…
MURRAY: “I loved the way Harrold played last night. He was very competitive. He separated the man and the puck. He was strong down below the goal line in his own end. Everything he did was really good. That’s a tough call on him, but we’re going to go with what you saw here in practice and with the pairs that we came through the training camp with, and we’ll take it from there.”
