Following up on the previous item, about the shifting among the top six forwards, Darryl Sutter at least seems to have settled on a third line that he likes, with Andrei Loktionov centering Brad Richardson and Trevor Lewis. It’s not exactly a scoring line — there’s a total of three goals on that line, and they all belong to Richardson — but the three versatile players have brought some speed and grit to recent games.
SUTTER: “They’ve played really good. I’ve said that after every game. They’ve given us good 5-on-5 minutes. Last game was a tough one for them. I had to help them on the bench, quite honestly, because of all the penalties, so you weren’t able to use them enough. That’s one thing I was really happy with, with them, because in the third period they were really good. So they didn’t lose where they were at in the game.’’
