Murray has no concerns about Doughty

The Kings made it official today when they activated Drew Doughty from the injured-reserve list and assigned Slava Voynov to Manchester of the AHL. Doughty returns after a five-game absence, and today I asked Terry Murray whether he was confident that Doughty would be able to play a full complement of minutes in all situations.

MURRAY: “Doughty is cleared, totally cleared, to do everything, to compete and battle and play the game. And that’s why we’re going to put him in. If there was any doubt in anybody’s mind, we certainly would not do it, because I don’t want any kind of a setback, but he is ready to play.’’

Question: But on the conditioning side of it, is he good to go there?

MURRAY: “The conditioning is not an issue at all. He’s been involved in the practices and skating, doing a lot of extra skating over the past five days here. So he should be ready and hungry and excited about playing the game, and I know he is. Physically, he’s in good shape.’’
