Drew Doughty’s postgame thoughts…
(on the power-play success…)
DOUGHTY: “We were moving the puck well. We studied the PK and we saw tendencies and we exploited them. We moved the puck quick, found the seams and got the puck to the net. We had great net presence as well. Those are the keys to a successful power play, and we’ve got to continue them.”
(on his game, coming off Game 1…)
DOUGHTY: “I was definitely a little more motivated. I was a little upset when I messed up on that one goal in the first game. Not that I was going to over-do it and try to make up for it too much, but I definitely wanted to, and I thought i played a good game tonight. We’re just really looking forward to taking this momentum back to L.A.”
(on recording four points…)
DOUGHTY: “Yeah. On the two assists, I didn’t really have to do too much, but I guess they all count. It was great to get that 4-0 win and give Quicker that shutout too.”
(on the team’s confidence level going back to Los Angeles…)
DOUGHTY: “Very confident. We need to use this momentum. In that third period, not that they were lazy or anything but they kind of shut down and our emotions were still high and theirs weren’t. So we definitely need to carry the momentum back and take it to them in L.A.”
