This is actually the third morning in Calgary for us, but it’s also the final one of the season. So far — and fingers crossed, for the next 14 hours or so — the weather on this leg of the trip has been better than we could have possibly hoped. It’s been mild in Canada and a bunch of snow melted yesterday. A quick thanks, and thumbs-up, to the folks at Michael’s Italian restaurant in Calgary, who really put together a good meal and are good people on top of that. Last night was the big Calgary-Vancouver WHL tilt, in which Vancouver rallied late and won in a shootout. I’ll have more on that in a couple days, because it included my first-ever night as a “scout.” Here’s how Calgary looks this morning through a dirty window… The Kings will have their morning skate at the Saddledome at 11:30 a.m. local time (10:30 a.m. Pacific).
