Thursday practice update

The Kings went through an hour-long practice at the Saaddledome while its usual residents, the Flames, are in Atlanta preparing to play the Thrashers. The Kings practiced the way they have played the past few periods, with a third line of Alexei Ponikarovsky, Michal Handzus and Wayne Simmonds. The Kings changed things up a bit for tomorrow. Instead of an early-morning skate at the Saddledome, they will have an afternoon practice at the Corral, Calgary’s old NHL arena. More notes and quotes to come…
