TONIGHT’S MATCHUP: The Ontario Reign conclude their weekend set as they visit the Milwaukee Admirals to cap off the season series between the two teams. In their previous meeting, Milwaukee skated to a 6-5 overtime victory at Citizens Business Bank Arena on October 17, the final in a four-game stretch of consecutive overtime contests for the Reign.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Ontario has won four of its last five games following last night’s 4-3 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins, in the inaugural meeting between the two teams. Last night’s win was the second road win of the season for the Reign and improved their mark to 2-0-1 against the Central Division on the season. Ontario, which was 7-4-1 outside of the division a season ago, is 1-0-0 all-time in Milwaukee and 2-0-1 against the Admirals in total, including this season’s meeting. Today’s morning skate, considering last night’s game and travel, was extremely light, so tonight’s lineup is a bit of a mystery……will know more closer to puck drop.

SPECIAL TEAMS SUCCESS: Ontario struck three times on the man advantage in last night’s win, its highest output of the season. The three goals marked the first time the Reign have scored multiple PPG’s in a game this season and improved Ontario’s power-play percentage to 21.7 percent away from home. The Reign rank fourth in the Western Conference in road PP% and, at 20%, have the fifth best percentage in the Conference overall. Additionally, Ontario did not concede a power-play tally yesterday, the third straight game it has not done so.

MR. 900: Forward Matt Moulson played in the 900th regular-season game of his professional last night and collected two goals for the occasion in the win over Grand Rapids. Moulson scored what, at the time, marked the game-tying and go-ahead goals in the 4-3 victory. The North York, ONT native has now collected 14 points (5-9-14) from 13 games played this season, ranking second in both assists and points and tied for third in goals scored.

WALKS THIS WAY: Reign defenseman Sean Walker scored a power-play goal midway through the third period that would go down as the game-winning tally. Walker’s goal was his fifth of the season, tying him for third on the Reign and moving him to within two tallies of his 2017-18 total in 53 less games. Walker ranks tied for fifth in the AHL in goals by a blueliner with his .45 goals-per-game the second highest rate in the league by a defenseman amongst those with 10-or-more games played.

CHARLES IN CHARGE: Ontario got a second consecutive win between the pipes from goaltender Charles Williams, who previously posted his first career AHL victory on Sunday with a 37-save effort. Williams made 22 saves in last night’s win over the Griffins and is currently 2-0-0 with a .937 save percentage and a 2.00 goals against average in the AHL this season. The win for Williams came in his native Michigan, the first time he had played professionally in the state

CAL THE KING: Ontario Reign alum Cal Petersen made his first career NHL start last evening in style, as he made 34 saves – in addition to back-to-back shootout stops on Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane – in a 2-1 win over Chicago. Petersen, who was an AHL All-Star last season with the Reign, previously made his NHL debut on Tuesday with the Kings against Toronto.
