18:13: Nice Fantenberg-to-Carter slapshot/mid-slot redirect, but Miska makes the stop.
17:05: 6-on-4 PPG LAK. Carter (2) (Amadio, Clague). With Looke off for tripping and a delayed call on Stepan, Amadio feeds the puck to Carter in the right circle, and he snaps it upstairs past Miska.
17:05: PENALTY ARI. Stepan for slashing.
10:00: Not seeing Phaneuf on the LA bench. Has not been credited for a shift in the third period.
9:30: PENALTY ARI. Demers for roughing.
6:32: PENALTY ARI. Fischer for tripping.

18:16: 5-on-3 PPG ARI. 0-4. Galchenyuk (2) (Ekman-Larsson, Stepan). One-timer from above the right circle on the five-on-three set-up.
17:55: Another quality Campbell save. He’s facing heat on these power plays.
16:00: Good hit by LaDue on a zone-entering Brayden Burke.

14:52: They’re teeing up Galchenyuk on the power play. His one-timer catches Campbell in the mask, dislodging it and drawing a whistle. Campbell goes to the water bottle.

13:09: 4-on-4 GOAL LAK. 1-4. Carter (1) (Pearson, Walker). Greasy goal! From a sharp angle, Pearson drives towards the crease. He sneaks the puck under Raanta’s pads, but Raanta apparently does not have it covered up. No whistle. Carter joins the scene, fishes it loose, pushes it a foot or two past the goal line. It counts!

9:47: PENALTY ARI. Ekman-Larsson for hooking. Good play by Brodzinski to gain a step, drive the net from a right wing angle and draw a stick in the gloves.
8:34: Carter robbed twice. The first, on a backhand, was your garden variety A-chance. The second was a ludicrous, lunging glove save on a wrister from close range with some short-side net to work with.
8:12: Raanta comes out to challenge Walker on Fantenberg’s cross-slot feed.
7:47: Coyotes kill off both ends of the five-on-three.
5:50: Raanta stops Clague’s snapper from the left circle. Raanta solid in net.
2:40: Nice footwork by LaDue. I really enjoy when defensemen evade pressure by moving their feet and creating some space to calm a play down. Good escapability. How’s your evening going?

20:00: Underway! The LA Kings preseason has commenced.
17:13: There’s a new scoreboard in Glendale, but it’s covered by curtains and won’t be used until the regular season, I’m told.
16:44: Toffoli tried to feed Pearson, who was driving the net. The puck deflected into the corner. Pearson went low-to-high and fed Walker at the right point, whose low shot caught the outside of the near post.
15:45: Good pressure by Amadio, Thompson, Brodzinski.
15:20: PENALTY LAK. Eyssimont for hooking. Demers, OEL on the back end for Arizona’s PP.
15:11: PPG ARI. 0-1. Panik (1) (Stepan, Ekman-Larsson). Panik shot the deflection of a blocked Stepan shot past a vulnerable Campbell.
11:08: Confident, high-grade Toffoli chance. Carter won a draw, Toffoli skated it into the middle of the slot, where his wristshot was denied by Raanta. Looked like it caught the goalie either in the bottom of his catching glove or on the top of his left pad.
8:30: Good Campbell kick save off Keller’s one-time bid.
8:25: PENALTY LAK. Interference on Thompson.
8:10: Campbell slides to his left to deny Galchenyuk’s one-timer. Good stop.
7:08: PPG ARI. 0-2. Hinostroza (1) (Keller, Demers). Slick feed from Keller finds Hinostroza, who beats Campbell short-side from a sharp angle.
5:22: PENALTY ARI. Kyle Capobianco for hooking.
3:22: Full strength. No real sustained pressure.
3:19: PENALTY ARI. Capobianco for interference. Played the puck leaving the penalty box with one foot still in it.
2:40: Good play by Kempe. Mario Kempe. Blocks Walker’s point shot. Clears the puck.
1:18: GOAL ARI. 0-3. Galchenyuk (1) (Ekman-Larsson, Keller). As the Los Angeles power play expired, Arizona entered the offensive zone on the rush. Ekman-Larsson dropped the puck to Galchenyuk, who snapped it up high past Campbell.
0:45: High-grade Kings chance. Thompson feeds the puck to the low slot, where Mitchell redirected it on goal. Good save by Raanta. He made two high-grade stops in the first on Mitchell and Toffoli.
