Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
BROWN: “We had our chances. We just didn’t bury them. The effort was there and the D played well. We gave up one goal, and I think it was actually a 3-on-3. That’s what games are going to be like now. In the second half of the year, every game is going to be tight-checking. It’s about the little decisions we made. We just have to build on that. That’s not the result we wanted, that’s for sure, but we outplayed them, I thought, for two periods.”
(on the playoff-like feel of the game…)
BROWN: “The second half of the year, everyone is fighting for points. It’s a new year, and we’re right there in the pack. There are going to be a lot of games like that, and we need to find a way to play that way and score some goals at the same time.”
