Happy Thursday, Insiders!
Kings have opted for an off-ice workout today, as opposed to a formal practice. Practices yesterday and Tuesday were extremely high in intensity and pace. Training-camp level. Yesterday’s skate was around an hour long, working on a number of different elements, but regardless of what was being worked on, the Kings worked. Hard. As such, no practice report for today.
Today is that middle day, where the team will recover a bit but still get some things done off the ice and in the gym. A full-team practice will follow tomorrow, before what I’d assume will be an optional morning skate and that evening’s game versus Utah at 6 PM.
More to come there. Will have a practice recap tomorrow, as well as a feature story on Kings forward Kevin Fiala, who has really impressed over the last month or so, overcoming a start to the season he labeled a “roller coaster”. Good stuff from Kevin and Jim Hiller.
For today, whatcha got? Will be around in the comments through the early afternoon to answer any questions you guys have as best as I can. Will have a preview of Drew Doughty’s championship game to come later on this afternoon, but taking questions until then!
Additionally, sharing that I am working on an Insider Suite Night opportunity later this season. Eyeing a Saturday or Sunday in late March or early-April. More details to follow next week for those interested and able to attend!
