Score: Los Angeles 3, Utah 3

Third Period
20:00 – Kings trail by one as the game gets back underway.
18:22 – Jamsen is tripped exiting his own zone and the Kings draw an early power play. Good chance with clean ice early in the period.
17:31 – Penalties now even as Greentree is whistled behind the net on the PP. Playing an extended stretch here of 4-on-4 hockey before a short Utah power play.
16:19 – UTA Goal – Back-door tap-in goal for Noel Nordh. Playing 4-on-4, Nordh puts one in at the back post in a good area. 3-1.
14:06 – Kings with yet another minor. Berge takes down Elliott, who had a step behind the defense. Close to a penalty shot, but just a tripping minor. Utah with another man advatange.
9:39 – Caderoth with a good play through the middle of the ice, bullying his way through a pair of defensemen and getting a shot off from close range. Kings are battling but not generating a ton of controlled offensive-zone time.
7:27 – Another power-play chance here for LAK. Booth is interfered with as he tracked back for a puck. Penalty-filled game, Kings could afford one here if they want to come back.
5:51 – Nice couple of plays from camp invite Parker Berge. Got a look with the power play and handled himself well. Has had a nice night overall.
2:13 – LAK Goal – Liam Greentree gets his first of the tournament as the Kings are back within a goal. Stationed in front, Greentree collects from Jamsen and fires home from close range. Good instincts, 3-2 game.
1:30 – LAK Goal – Tie game! Arvi
d Caderoth gets one to go off a rebound in front. 3-3, just over 60 seconds left in regulation.
0:00 – Kings score twice to force OT and the teams will skate 3-on-3 for a five-minute overtime session.

Second Period
20:00 – Second period has begun, with the teams tied at one goal apiece.
18:51 – Aatu Jamsen blocks a shot in his foot and is slow going to the bench. Sold out to make the block, which was great to see. The result, not as much. Keeping an eye on him, but he did remain on the bench.
15:51 – Jamsen back on the ice, did not miss a shift after blocking the shot.
15:39 – UTA Goal – Matikka gets one to go after narrowly missing just second earlier. After he hit the post off the rush, Matikka drives the net, lifts the stick of a Kings defenseman in front of the net and buries the rebound. 2-1 Utah.
9:50 – Kolby Hay with the save of the tournament. Wow. Sprawling glove to deny a rebound opportunity from in close. Outstanding save to keep the game at 2-1. His last action of the game too, as Jackson Parsons enters in relief.
9:42 – Kings will get their second PP of the game midway through the second period.
7:42 – Kings come up empty on their second power-play opportunity. Ziemmer and Jamsen each fired one timers but neither able to connect.
3:30 – Not quite the same level of cohesion. from the Kings in the second that was there early. Utah settled in and has been the more dangerous team throughout the second period.
1:45 – Jared Woolley drops the gloves late in the second, taking on Gabe Smith. Woolley gets the takedown. 6-4, 210 and lots of room to fill out. Woolley is a longer-term prospect but has some upside in different areas that the Kings lack elsewhere in the pool.
0:00 – Utah 2, Los Angeles 1 after 40 minutes.

First Period
20:00 – Los Angeles and Utah are underway in El Segundo!
17:34 – Great early shift for the Davis/Tulk/Olson trio. Established the cycle offensively and got the defensemen involved from the point. Three guys here on camp invitations who are off to a strong start here in Game 2.
15:02 – LAK Goal – Aatu Jamsen opens his account to get the Kings on the board both for the game and the tournament. Patrick Moynihan drove the net and Jamsen put himself in a good position to collect the rebound and slot it home. 1-0 Kings.
12:41 – Another solid shift from Jamsen. Moved well through the neutral zone and dumped the puck to himself effectively. He’s an interesting player to watch. Used to having more time and space on the puck in Europe and game will be much more physical here. Still, he has skill and creativity. Better start for him in the early goings.
9:28 – Utah will get the first power play of the game. Parker-Jones takes his third minor penalty of the tournament and will sit for two minutes. Kings PK heads to work.
7:28 – LAK gets the kill and looks pretty solid in doing so. Best kill of the tournament so far.
5:04 – Kings head to their second penalty kill of the evening. Mania sits this time late in the first period.
2:56 – UTA Goal – Will Gavin equalizes for the visitors with a great shot from the slot. Utah was not able to score on the power play but Gavin got the puck in the slot and made the most of his opportunity. 1-1.
1:44 – Kings get their first power play of the evening. Booth – Jamsen – Wise – Greentree – Ziemmer is the top unit here in Game 2.
0:00 – 1-1, after 1. Kings get their first of the tournament through Jamsen and will have 16 seconds on the power play when we get back underway in the second period.
