Kind of a crazy sentence to type, isn’t it?
The LA Kings are less than two months away from Opening Night at Crypto.com Arena. 58 days from today, we’ll place an early wager that Anze Kopitar and Nathan MacKinnon will take the opening faceoff as the Kings and Avalanche square off on Opening Night in Los Angeles.
There is naturally a lot to come between now and then, but still interesting to look at the larger picture. Several positional battles to go down during training camp, a cross-world trek to Australia and a lot of practices and games in between, all of which will go towards determining how the Kings look when they play that game.
As far as LAKI Suite Night, feedback from the last thread and a couple of side conversations turned up the following thoughts. Weekend date, earlier in the season. With that being said, a few options that might make sense –
Saturday, October 21 vs. Boston
Saturday, October 28 vs. Vegas
Saturday, November 11 vs. Philadelphia
Saturday, November 18 vs. St. Louis
Sunday, December 3 vs. Colorado
Without checking, my guess is that we will have more flexibility on availability, price, ETC for the November games against Philadelphia and St. Louis, or the early-December game against Colorado, but naturally the games against Boston and Vegas are more appealing matchups.
Come at me in the chat with your preferred dates, as well as any questions you’ve got as we sit just inside two months away from opening night and just over one month away from the start of formal training camp in September. Excited to get going, Insiders! Talk below.
