Good Morning, Insiders!
A little release for your Thursday morning, before we get things rolling from Pittsburgh.
The Kings unveiled this morning the newest addition to their family of jerseys, with the latest in the Reverse Retro line. All 32 teams around the NHL should have their newest jerseys out today, with the second edition of the Reverse Retro campaign.
The Kings will wear their Reverse Retro jerseys five times this season, between November and January. The jerseys will debut on November 12 versus Detroit and will also be worn two additional times at home, on December 17 versus San Jose and December 31 versus Philadelphia. The Kings will also wear the sweaters twice on the road, on December 23 at Arizona and January 7 at Vegas.
The jersey is a homage to the Miracle on Manchester, with forum blue and gold returning to the on-ice color scheme for the first time since the first Reverse Retro campaign in 2020-21. The Kings will wear this crown on a white jersey for the first time in franchise history.
Kings President Luc Robitaille on the Reverse Retro Jersey
The Reverse Retro concept has been embraced across the NHL and we are thrilled to work with the League and adidas to help introduce this new version of our jersey. We believe it is a great blend of the 50-plus year history of our franchise, and we feel it will be popular with new and long-time Kings fans alike.
