For the final time, it’s a preseason game day, Insiders! The Kings host the Anaheim Ducks in a rematch of Wednesday evening’s game in Anaheim, completing the exhibition series against the Ducks. LA is expected to ice a more veteran lineup than it did on Wednesday evening, with the majority of the team’s veterans slated to dress tonight at home. Wednesday’s game was a “show me” game for many on or around the roster bubble, with forward Arthur Kaliyev impressing enough to retain his place in the lineup this evening at STAPLES Center.

With one eye on the present and the other on the week ahead, the Kings will look to avoid injury or misfortune this evening, with the primary goals of tonight’s action being to remain healthy and to fine-tune individual games before the matchups start awarding points on Thursday. With the Vegas Golden Knights and Opening Night dead ahead, we’ll be keeping an eye on select players, while trusting others to do what they need to do to best set themselves up for success five days from now.
