Some roster moves, schedule changes, and a really cool video for you!
Ah yes, the daily Lias Andersson transaction.
Anderson, along with defenseman Austin Strand, has been assigned from the active roster to the taxi squad.
Additionally, defensemen Mark Alt and Tobias Bjornfot have been reassigned to the AHL’s Ontario Reign, and are expected to play for Ontario this evening against Henderson. Puck drop in that game is set for 5 PM. Heading the other way is forward Drake Rymsha, who was reassigned from Ontario’s roster to the taxi squad.
The Kings were off today, but are back on the ice tomorrow morning at Toyota Sports Performance Center for a morning skate, before hosting the San Jose Sharks later in the evening. We’ll know more tomorrow about how the team is shaping up for the game in the morning.
For the first time this season, the LA Kings have had a game impacted by COVID-19 protocols.
The Kings game, previously scheduled for this Saturday, February 13, against Minnesota, has been postponed due to the protocols.
While the Kings still have two players – Blake Lizotte and Andreas Athanasiou – on the COVID-19 Protocols list, the issues are related to Minnesota, which has had nine players test positive, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
#mnwild have a 4:30 conference call w the NHL today to discuss future. Bill Guerin made clear he thinks the team needs more time off and to postpone more games. Transaction-wise with the cap would be "insane," he said.

On February 3, the NHL postponed all Wild games through February 9, and the team suspended all team activities until further notice, with team facilities closed effective immediately.
