Good morning, Insiders, and good morning, District of Columbia.
The one visit per year to our nation’s capital is among the favored road stops. It is one of the Please Don’t Let Us Visit On The Second Night Of A Back To Back cities out east, like Toronto, Montreal and Boston. (New York doesn’t qualify here, because we’re always there over multiple days.) It’s a different change of pace, the architecture is unique, there are great neighborhoods, restaurants and nightlife, and you’re literally walking through history. It’s among the most highly educated cities in the country, and seemingly extraordinarily competitive, while charmingly cosmopolitan for a major mid-Atlantic city that’s not quite in the northeast and not really southern. If someone would like me to write copy for a travel magazine, name your price. HELLO, DELTA SKY MAGAZINE.
There’s no visit to the White House this year. Instead, we’ll sub a trip across the Potomac into Arlington for a visit to Kettler Iceplex, where the team will practice in the early afternoon. It’s a beautiful day in the District. Let’s talk soon, Insiders.
