On whether he said anything special during the second intermission:
No, I think our team had some good composure, and it wasn’t like we were really behind the eight ball. We hit two posts in the second, so it’s just stay with it. Sometimes you’re going to win that, sometimes you’re not.
On Jarome Iginla’s first game with the team:
I thought he was fine. I think it’s not easy the last few days for him. He flew from, where was he? [Reporter: Ottawa.] Ottawa, and he’s going to fit in and play a role for us.
On how Iginla’s role will evolve:
Evolving? It’s not going to really evolve. We’re in the last month of the season. [Reporter: Like, how do you see him adjusting with this team?] Well, it’s a big adjustment. He’s coming from a team that hadn’t had much success and the whole belief system. He’ll be fine. Just play. Relax and play.
On whether this performance indicates Jonathan Quick is back at 100%:
As I said the other day, we’re going to really watch how we use him. I didn’t want to play him in Minnesota. That shouldn’t have been his start, but it’s just the way the trade and the travel went for Ben. We’ll mange him properly. It’s why we got Ben in here, so we had two guys who can do it.
On whether it was good to see Anze Kopitar score a goal:
He scored two. Actually he got the game-winner, too. He had the big goal to make it 2-1, and the big goal to get a shootout win.
