On Peter Budaj helping win a game for the team:
I thought he played a really strong game. It was good to see him bounce back. He had a tough game in Buffalo. Actually, his last couple road starts had been tough – one in Arizona and one Buffalo – so it was really good to see. You need good goaltending to win hockey games.
On the penalty killing:
It gave us a lot of – I wouldn’t say energy, because we were a tired hockey club tonight – but I think it really gave us belief and strength going into the third. We showed a lot of resilience. I was proud of our team tonight.
On back-to-back road wins in difficult buildings:
Circle the wagons and stick together. That’s what we do. We don’t get too caught up in what anybody says outside.
On the execution of the overtime game-winner:
Those three guys have been pretty successful over the last couple years with Tanner and Tyler and Marty when they go out there in overtimes.
On the 18-3 record in overtime since the start of last season:
I think what’s most important in all that, Jon, is they’re regulation wins. Regulation wins at the end of the day are really important criteria in making the playoffs.
