December 1 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 86-99-33 all-time against the Arizona franchise, a record that includes a road mark of 39-55-17. The Kings improved to 4-5-1 in their last 10 visits to Gila River Arena and have won four of their last five away games in the series. Los Angeles allowed at least three goals for the eighth time in their last 10 visits to Glendale. These teams will meet next on January 31 at Gila River Arena before concluding the season series with three straight games at Staples Center on February 16, March 14 and April 2.

-The Kings improved to 8-7-1 against the Western Conference, 5-3-0 against the Pacific Division, 6-7-0 when the opponent scores first, 4-5-1 when trailing after one period, 4-2-0 when tied after two periods and 8-3-1 in one-goal games.

-Jordan Nolan recorded the first multi-goal game of his career by scoring his 17th and 18th career goals. His previous goal was scored on April 9, 2015, a 3-1 loss to Calgary in the 81st game of the season.

-Jeff Zatkoff, who was drafted by Los Angeles in the third round of the 2006 NHL Draft, won his first career game as a King.

-Peter Budaj made his 22nd consecutive appearance in goal. He has appeared in every game since the third game of the season.

-Since the start of the 2014-15 season, Dustin Brown (0-1=1) has nine points (7-2=9) in 10 games against Arizona.

-Los Angeles is 5-for-52 on the power play (9.6%) over the last 17 games.

-The Kings attempted 65 shots (33 on goal, 18 blocked, 14 missed). The Coyotes attempted 53 shots (32 on goal, 9 blocked, 12 missed). Martin Hanzal and Marian Gaborik tied with a game-high six shots on goal, while Gaborik led all skaters with 10 shot attempts (6 on goal, 1 blocked, 3 missed).

-Los Angeles won 35-of-67 faceoffs (52%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 17-of-30, Nick Shore won 6-of-9, Nic Dowd won 6-of-9 and Jeff Carter won 6-of-18.

Friday, December 2 is an off-day for the Kings. The next practice is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3 at Toyota Sports Center.
