Jonny Brodzinski, on his two-point performance after the passing of his grandmother:
It was obviously pretty emotional coming off that last weekend. It’s just something you’ve got to put in the back of your mind and just keep plugging forward. [Reporter: Were you thinking about that at all tonight?] She was the center point of our family so it’s definitely a pretty big hit into our family but it’s something that we’ve been dealing with for the last couple years, the last year, so we kind of knew it was coming but it’s something you’ve got to deal with.
Brodzinski, on the Reign focusing on the details:
I think it’s been a long time coming. We’ve gotten better and better every single week. … We put together a full 60-minute game.
Brodzinski, on what it was like finally playing back in Ontario:
It’s obviously nice coming back here. You’ve got five games in a row at home, it’s a lot better than hopping on a plane or hopping on a bus for six or seven hours.
Brodzinski, on the key going forward during this homestand:
Just got to take it one game at a time. Got the first one out of five so just keep plugging away, we’ll get back after it Friday.
Mike Amadio, on the win overall and being back home:
I think we played a good game tonight. We were supporting the puck all over the ice, especially in the offensive zone and the D-zone.
Amadio, on his goal and his confidence during the point streak:
There was the 2-on-1 rush for them and I think the puck went off the pad and came right to me. We had a 3-on-2 going the other way, I gave it to Backs, he made an unbelievable pass to me. I saw the goalie cheating a bit back door so there was space and I luckily found the back of the net. [Reporter: Is that a confidence thing for you, just being able to pick the corner and notice him cheating?] Yeah. Definitely getting more confident with the puck and shooting it when I’m in areas to score.
Amadio, on whether the team responded to Stothers’ demand to focus on details:
I think so, yeah. I think we did a lot of good things tonight. A lot of positives to take away from that game and moving forward I think we just got to come in and do the same thing on Friday.
