We scored the first goal. That’s a big difference when you’re playing back-to-back. Scoring the first is way better than having to chase the goal.
On what he liked about the team’s five-on-five play:
We didn’t give ‘em anything, so I think everybody’s like that.
On whether it was good to play so quickly after Sunday’s loss:
We haven’t played any bad games on this trip. If you look in Detroit, we damn near tied it up, and we probably deserved better last night. We needed some more saves. At the end of the day, if you want to win on the road, you’ve got to shut some guys down, and to do that, you need great goaltending.
