October 13 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 103-99-36 all-time against Vancouver, a record that includes a home mark of 63-40-18. The Kings fell to 7-3-1 in the last 11 meetings between the clubs. These teams meet next on December 1 in Los Angeles.

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 0-3-0 against the Western Conference and 0-3-0 against the Pacific Division.

-The last Kings team to start the season with no points over its first three games was the 1985-86 team, which won the fourth game of the season over the New York Rangers, but then lost five in a row and finished 23-49-8. That team lost the second game of the season to the New York Islanders in overtime, but did not receive any points for an overtime loss. The last Kings team to lose three straight in regulation to start a season was the 1969-70 team, which won its fourth and fifth games (over Oakland and Pittsburgh), but finished 14-52-10. This is the third time in club history in which the Kings did not earn any points over their first three games.

-Dustin Brown appeared in his 805th game as a King, tying Rob Blake for fourth place overall on the franchise’s all-time games played list.

-Los Angeles has sold out a club-record 164 consecutive home games, including playoffs.

-The Kings attempted 54 shots (15 on goal, 17 blocked, 22 missed). The Canucks attempted 42 shots (26 on goal, 8 blocked, 8 missed). Alec Martinez led all skaters with seven shot attempts (1 on goal, 3 blocked, 3 missed). Radim Vrbata and Daniel Sedin led all skaters with four shots on goal.

-Los Angeles won 27-of-53 faceoffs (51%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 9-of-20, Andy Andreoff won 1-of-2, Nick Shore won 4-of-11, Trevor Lewis won 0-of-1, and Jeff Carter won 13-of-17.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at 11:00 a.m. at Toyota Sports Center on Wednesday, October 14.
