April 4 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 63-47-12 all-time against the Colorado franchise, a record that includes a home mark of 36-18-6. The Kings swept the season series against the Avalanche (3-0-0) for the first time since 2010-11 (4-0-0). Los Angeles also swept Quebec teams in 1988-89 and 1989-90 (both 3-0-0). The Kings have now won five consecutive games against the Avalanche since an overtime loss on November 23, 2013 and extended their point streak against Colorado to eight games (7-0-1), dating back to January 22, 2013.

-Los Angeles improved to 23-13-10 against the Western Conference and finished the year with a record of 10-8-3 against the Central Division.

-By allowing 10 shots on goal, the Kings tied their franchise-low in shots allowed. The only other time in franchise history the team allowed as few as 10 shots on goal was a 2-2 tie at San Jose on January 11, 1994.

-Los Angeles improved to 27-5-8 when scoring first, 14-5 in two-goal games, 21-3-4 when leading after one period, 26-3-4 when leading after two periods and 29-14-9 when outshooting an opponent.

-Dating back to February 7, Jonathan Quick is 18-6-2 with a 1.96 GAA, a .925 Sv% and three shutouts (1502:17 min / 654 shots against / 605 saves).

-With two assists, Jeff Carter now has 32 assists on the season. Only once in his career has he surpassed 32 assists (38; 2008-09 w/ PHI). He now has multi-point efforts in two straight games (2-2=4) and has tied Anze Kopitar with a team-leading 16 multi-point games. He has 15 points (12-3=15) in 15 career games against Colorado.

-With one assist, Anze Kopitar now has 34 points (13-21=34) in 33 career games against Colorado.

-Marian Gaborik (1-0=1) has four points (3-1=4) in the last two games.

-Robyn Regehr (0-2=2) recorded his ninth and 10th assists of the season and has points in each of the last two games (1-2=3). Tonight was his second multi-assist game of the season.

-Alec Martinez scored his first goal since January 17 versus Anaheim. With 21 points (6-15=21), he is one point shy of tying his career high of 22, set last season.

-The crowd of 18,230 was the club’s 130th consecutive regular season sellout and the 160th consecutive sellout overall (both team records).

-The Kings attempted 64 shots (26 on goal, 13 blocked, 25 missed). The Avalanche attempted 32 shots (10 on goal, 15 blocked, 7 missed). Jeff Carter led the all skaters with five shots on goal and eight shot attempts (5 on goal, 1 blocked, 2 missed).

-Los Angeles won 20-of-43 faceoffs (47%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 3-of-7, Jarret Stoll won 7-of-13, Nick Shore won 3-of-7 and Jeff Carter won 7-of-16.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at 11:00 a.m. at Toyota Sports Center on Sunday, April 5.
