Brodzinski, whose junior season with the Huskies ended in an NCAA regional final loss to North Dakota, posted his third consecutive 20-goal season with St. Cloud. By virtue of his 40-game, 21-goal, 38-point junior season, Brodzinski finished his collegiate career with 64 goals and 112 points in 120 games.
As noted during several KABC 790 Insider Reports with Nick Nickson on the most recent road trip, the Kings were going to be making a strong push to sign both Brodzinski and North Dakota sophomore defenseman Paul LaDue. Ladue and the Fighting Sioux face Jack Eichel and Boston University on Thursday, April 9 in an NCAA Frozen Four semifinal game at the Fleet Center.
The six-foot, 205-pound Brodzinski was a fifth round draft pick by Los Angeles in 2013.
