On whether the Jets beat the Kings at their own game:
No, it wasn’t very physical at all. It wasn’t a physical game whatsoever. We turned the puck over for two goals, and we lost Myers on his goal.
On whether handling a forecheck was a challenge for the second straight game:
No. I just finished saying, Jon, we turned the puck over on two goals under no pressure at all, and Brown lost Myers one-on-one, and that’s got nothing to do with forecheck, does it?
On whether the team’s detail has slipped over the last three games:
No, I think the Ottawa game we got screwed. We got a goal taken away from us, and then I said it after that game [that] some of our older guys didn’t play very well, and I think in Anaheim some of ‘em didn’t play very well, and some of ‘em tonight didn’t play very well, so it’s not a team thing.
On replacing Jonathan Quick with Martin Jones:
You can do that. You have two goalies. Sometimes you bench a defenseman, sometimes you bench a forward, and I don’t like pulling goalies. I’m not known for doing that, but Jonathan’s played a lot of hockey. What is he, second in the league or something like that in terms of minutes played? So I was thinking more about getting him ready for some time in March.
