As expected, Jeff Schultz has been loaned to AHL-Manchester. Because he played in nine games and was up for 29 days – keep in mind he was temporarily sent to Manchester over the Christmas break – he did not have to clear waivers.
As it stands, the Kings have 22 players on the active roster (Quick, Berube, Greene, McNabb, McBain, Muzzin, Doughty, Richards, Kopitar, Gaborik, Clifford, Williams, Andreoff, Lewis, Brown, Martinez, Stoll, Shore, Regehr, Nolan, King, Carter), three players on injured reserve (Jones, Pearson, Toffoli) and one player suspended indefinitely by the NHL (Voynov). Should the Kings want to activate a player, recall a player from Manchester or acquire a player via trade, they have one open roster spot at the moment.
In nine games with the Kings, Schultz recorded one assist, a plus-one rating and four penalty minutes. He has nine points (3-6=9), a plus-seven rating and 20 penalty minutes with the Monarchs.
