January 10 postgame notes

-With the shootout loss, Los Angeles fell to 11-3-5 all-time against the Winnipeg/Atlanta franchise, a record that includes a 7-0-3 home mark. With the shootout loss, the Kings clinched at least a tie in the season series. The two teams will play at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on March 1.

-Los Angeles is 0-1-2 during a season-long seven-game homestand (OTL vs NSH, L vs NYR, SOL vs WPG, 1/12 vs TOR, 1/14 vs NJD, 1/17 vs ANA, 1/19 vs CGY).

-The Kings fell to 13-6-7 against the Western Conference and 6-4-3 against the Central Division.

-Los Angeles has won five of 21 one-goal games (5-6-10).

-The Kings have a 58.1% Corsi-for rating in five-on-five play over the last 22 games (1148 CF / 828 CA). They haven’t been outshot over the last 18 games (7-6-5) and have averaged 34.6 shots per game over that span (622 shots / 18 GP).

-Los Angeles is 4-for-9 on the penalty kill over the last four games.

-The Kings have allowed three goals within a six-minute span seven times in the last 13 games.

-Los Angeles is 2-10 in games that extend past 60 minutes and has lost six consecutive shootouts. L.A. shooters are 2-for-25 on the season in the shootout and have been denied on the last 19 attempts since Marian Gaborik’s shootout goal in Anaheim on November 12.

-Anze Kopitar has points in three straight games (1-5=6) and nine of the last 11 (3-15=18). He has 11 points (6-5=11) in 10 career games against Winnipeg/Atlanta. Tonight was his team-leading ninth multi-point game of the season. He recorded a season-high 25:25 of ice time.

-Jeff Carter played his 100th consecutive regular season game.

-Jonathan Quick has an .879 save percentage (356 saves / 405 shots) over his last 18 games.

-With two points, Marian Gaborik now has 27 points (11-16=27) in 24 career games against Winnipeg/Atlanta. He recorded his sixth multi-point game of the season and now has 14 points (9-5=14) in his last 11 games.

-Drew Doughty (0-2=2) recorded his fifth multi-point game, which ties him with Jake Muzzin for the most amongst team defensemen. With 33:45 of ice time, he logged the second highest time on ice of his regular-season career (33:45). He set his career-high earlier this year versus St. Louis on December 18 (34:21).

-Matt Greene (0-1=1) has recorded a point in three of the last four games (0-3=3).

-Both teams finished with 37 hits. Trevor Lewis recorded a game-high seven hits.

-The Kings attempted 59 shots (29 on goal, 12 blocked, 18 missed). The Jets attempted 41 shots (25 on goal, 8 blocked, 8 missed).

-Los Angeles won 41-of-67 faceoffs (61%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 7-of-11, Anze Kopitar won 13-of-24, Jarret Stoll won 14-of-18 and Jeff Carter won 7-of-14.

The Kings are scheduled to practice at 11:00 a.m. at Toyota Sports Center on Sunday, January 11.
