-With the loss, the Kings fell to 84-100-40 all-time against the Minnesota/Dallas franchise, a record that includes a home mark of 50-40-22. By evening the season series at 1-1-0, the Stars improved to 6-1-1 in their last eight trips to Staples Center.

-The Kings fell to 6-2-2 against the Western Conference and 4-1-0 against the Central Division.

-Los Angeles’ home point streak ended at eight games (7-0-1).

-The Kings lost for the first time when allowing zero power plays (7-1-2) and lost for the first time in regulation when allowing two goals or less (8-1-1).
