Level of confidence in projected lines: D. First off, we don’t know who’s starting in goal today. The team is likely to split its goaltenders in the back-to-back set, and given that Jonathan Quick didn’t participate in the morning skate, I’m leaning towards Martin Jones going tonight and Quick going tomorrow against Dallas. Because Anze Kopitar, Jeff Carter, Dustin Brown and Drew Doughty were also absent from today’s skate, no line rushes were held. Darryl Sutter also indicated that the team is battling a bug at the moment, so it’s even possible that a player who didn’t skate today could also be held out tonight. “We’ve got a bunch of sick players, so we’ll see tonight who’s playing,” he said this morning. Would the Kings want to use their least experienced defensemen in a pairing together? Expect McNabb and McBain to see rotations with several defensemen tonight.
