On continuing to develop chemistry with his line:
Obviously we want to score a few more goals, but I think we’re going in the right direction, so we’ve got to keep on working at it and get better at it. [Reporter: And the other lines have to start getting some chances, too.] Yeah, well, they’ll get it. With Jeff, it’s just a matter of time before he starts scoring left and right. I think Mike has been around the puck a lot, so that’s good. Stolly and Brownie and Kinger, they’re around the net, so I’m sure they’re going to get some goals too.
On the frustration of not being able to take advantage of a heavy shot total:
It’s a stinger every time we lose, and we definitely after a pretty strong road trip, we didn’t want to start off a home stand with a loss. We’ve got to get back at it on Saturday.
On how the Toronto Maple Leafs played:
I don’t know how they execute their systems, but it seemed like they were skating pretty well. They were tight checking, obviously. But it was a case of our game tonight not getting it done.
On James Reimer’s saves prior to Mason Raymond’s game-winning goal:
I had three chances like that tonight, and I couldn’t get it to go. I think at that point, it’s just desperation mode, and I’m trying to fire it as quick as I can, as good as I can. He came across and made a couple good saves on me.
