Trevor Lewis has been activated from injured reserve after missing nine games with a lower body injury, took part in warm-ups, and is eligible to play today against the Ottawa Senators. In 23 games this season, Lewis has been held without a point and has a minus-4 rating with four penalty minutes.
Colin Fraser, who left Wednesday’s 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs after weathering a heavy Frazer McLaren hit in front of the Toronto bench in the second period, has been placed on injured reserve with an upper body injury suspected to be a concussion. Darryl Sutter had said “it’s protocol” when asked yesterday about Fraser’s status for today’s game, a reference to the league’s protocol for dealing with head injuries. In 17 games this season, Fraser has one assist, a minus-3 rating and 18 penalty minutes.
Linden Vey did not take part in warm-ups, so there is a good chance that Lewis could center Daniel Carcillo and Jordan Nolan. Matt Frattin did take part in warm-ups, so he final lineup spot will likely come down to Frattin or Lewis.
