The team touched down at Toronto Pearson International Airport shortly after midnight last night, and a stiff wind welcomed them to town. Not that there is much to compare it to when the team has traveled through the southeast and played a handful of games within an hour flight of Los Angeles, but today will be the coldest day of the Kings’ season to date, and temperatures are expected to drop throughout the rest of the week. The picture above depicts a crisp, overcast 20 degree morning backed by a 20 mile an hour wind. Snow is in the forecast.
After providing some historical footnotes in yesterday’s 6-0 drubbing of the Montreal Canadiens, the Kings will meet the media circus at the Air Canada Center following their 11:30 morning skate. Don’t expect the entire team to take the ice, so today is likely to be one of those days where the “Level of confidence in projected lines” grade in the game preview will be something below “A+! Great job, JR!”
