Greene activated; Quick to LTIR

Matt Greene has been activated from injured reserve and is eligible to play in tonight’s game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Earlier today, Darryl Sutter said “I’m not playing him,” when asked about Greene’s status.

It is possible that the timing of his activation is based on the team’s desire for him to participate in warm-ups. He is currently on the ice with the team.

Prior to tonight’s game, Greene missed 15 games with an upper-body injury. In 15 games this season, Greene has two goals, three points and a plus-5 rating.

To remain salary cap compliant, Jonathan Quick has been moved to long term injured reserve.
